The fall semester begins in 76 days and this year, more than ever, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone return to campus.

George Floyd is another victim among countless others who have violently lost their lives or whose lives were threatened because of the color of their skin.

As I reflect on what has surely been the most unusual semester of my career, I am immensely proud of our students, faculty, staff, trustees, alumni, and friends for everything we have accomplished together.

Several weeks ago, we convened a special Board of Trustees meeting to discuss the emerging financial impacts of COVID-19 on µÛÍõ»áËù.

As the spring semester winds down and we prepare for a continuation of online instruction over the summer, our focus has naturally turned toward planning for the fall.

This morning, the Board of Trustees convened for a public presentation and discussion about the projected financial impact of COVID-19 on µÛÍõ»áËù’s FY 20 and FY 21 budgets, as well as various measures that are being considered to address projected shortfalls in the months ahead.

Yesterday, Governor Polis shared that we are seeing evidence of a flattening of the curve in Colorado thanks in large part to social distancing and the implementation of the state’s Stay at Home order.

As with all Trustee meetings, it is open to the public and I encourage you to attend virtually.
