As many of you know, on Friday we had our annual summer Board of Trustees meeting.

With appreciation for his service to the University, I write to share that Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Mark Anderson has decided to retire and step down from his role at the end of June 2021.

As I reflect with the spring semester now behind us, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the tremendous efforts our students, faculty, and staff put forward to make it through a full academic year during a pandemic.

Last month, I shared with mixed emotions that Dr. Katrina Rodriguez, Vice President for Student Affairs, will be leaving µÛÍõ»áËù after 22 years of service.

As we wind down the spring semester, I am mindful that the fall semester is just around the corner.

This afternoon a jury in Minneapolis found Derek Chauvin guilty on all three charges in the murder of George Floyd.

As it has been previously communicated, we will be holding a Budget Town Hall with the university community on Tuesday, April 20 from 10:00 a.m. - Noon.

It is our sincere regret to inform you that the n-word was discovered written in large chalk letters on campus in the breezeway at McKee Hall.

We want to thank the many individuals who have reached out to us to share their affirmations of our university’s values of inclusion and respect over the course of the last day.

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you Dr. Katrina Rodriguez, Vice President for Student Affairs, will be leaving µÛÍõ»áËù at the end of the academic year.
