ForFlor Leos, the opportunity to see the work of another artist was transformational. A senior majoring in Ceramics and minoring in Mexican American Studies,*Leos says that when Chicano muralist Leo Tanguma came to µÛÍõ»áËù her junior year, it shaped her path and her view of her own art.

As Mark and Tammy Berven reflected on their experiences at µÛÍõ»áËù, they decided to establish the Berven Athletic Leadership Scholarship, which supports one football student-athlete and one female student-athlete who are in their third or fourth seasons and who are active leaders on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council. 

µÛÍõ»áËù's donor-supported Outdoor Pursuits program makes outdoor recreation possible for all students, faculty and staff.

After a national search launched earlier this year, the University of Northern Colorado Foundation has selected Tony Troxell as its next president. Troxell, who officially stepped into his role on Sept. 16, will be responsible for the overall management of Foundation activities including gift acceptance, distribution of gifts to the university, and investment management.

µÛÍõ»áËù’s Emergency Support Fund has provided Bears with financial support just when they need it most.

The lure of exploring endless possibilities and the challenge of solving puzzles is what drew Bonnie Buss to the field of chemistry. That combination is something she hopes will also inspire and excite her students, both in the classroom and the lab, as she steps into her new role as assistant professor in µÛÍõ»áËù’s Chemistry and Biochemistry department this fall.

During the annual State of the University Address on Sept. 14, 2022, µÛÍõ»áËù President Andy Feinstein, along with several other university leaders, reflected on the accomplishments achieved during the first two-year phase of µÛÍõ»áËù’s strategic plan Rowing, Not Drifting 2030, while also looking forward to the next chapter.
