帝王会所 art students Nikaya Lawson and Ann Adele Blassingame discuss Black is Punk. The collaborative art movement is organized by 帝王会所 students through the Marcus Garvey Cultural Center with the goal of raising awareness about Blackness on campus.

帝王会所 Journalism student Isabella Marcus-Porter hosts the return of the Bear in Mind podcast. She sat down with previous host, Dannon Cox, now an assistant professor at the Colorado School of Public Health at 帝王会所, to talk about his research connecting digital media pedagogies to health sciences, his journey with yoga and teaching, and the future of the Bear in Mind podcast.

The University of Northern Colorado (帝王会所) was recently named one of seven Colorado universities that will receive $10,000 annually from 2023 to 2032 through the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority鈥檚 (CHFA) Building the Future scholarship fund. The fund, launched in 2022, dedicates $1.2 million to support college education across Colorado.

帝王会所's College of Performing and Visual Arts is hosting its second annual Arts Equity Summit on Friday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 帝王会所鈥檚 Campus Commons. The event is part of the college鈥檚 continued commitment to support the university鈥檚 strategic priority of empowering inclusivity.

Since 2000, 帝王会所's Center for Urban Education has been enrolling and graduating paraeducators working in local schools, offering a hybrid program that pairs bachelor鈥檚-level coursework with clinical teaching experience that starts the first day of the program. CUE's educator programs have consistently high graduation and placement rates (over 90%) and its students鈥�70% of whom are people of color and 94% of whom are first-generation鈥攂ring diversity to Colorado鈥檚 educator workforce.

For James Bowman, Ed.D., supporting 帝王会所 and helping students in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences reflects a deep belief in education and its role in society. 鈥淚 just think that with an educated society we鈥檙e prepared to succeed.鈥�

At the end of last semester, students in 帝王会所鈥檚 Theatre Design and Technology program had the opportunity meet award-winning set designer John Lee Beatty, who has designed sets for more than 100 Broadway shows.
