Sean Hoverson has attended hundreds of hockey games. Like most fans, he didn鈥檛 wear hearing protection, nor did he recognize the need. Conducted over a season of Colorado Eagles games, his doctoral scholarly project, 鈥淪pectator Noise Exposures During a Season of Minor League Hockey,鈥� revealed the risk.

University of Northern Colorado alumnus Julian Cary '19 never imagined that his pursuit of a career in music would lead him to the other side of the world. Now a successful musician in Bangkok, Thailand and an instructor of jazz voice at Silpakorn University, Cary鈥檚 journey began in Denver.

Alicia Romano combined her passions for sports, research and teaching in the University of Northern Colorado鈥檚 Sport and Exercise Science Ph.D. program. She chose a sport administration concentration and conducted novel research that could have major implications for sports marketing.

When Lindsey (鈥�10,鈥�14) and Casey (鈥�10) Goodman stepped onto the University of Northern Colorado鈥檚 campus in Greeley in 2006, they both felt an immediate connection to the school. Lindsey, hailing from Palisade, Colorado, knew she wanted to teach, and Casey, also from Colorado, wanted to study political science.
