Dr. Andrew 鈥淎ndy鈥� Feinstein, president of the University of Northern Colorado and current chair of the Big Sky Conference Presidents鈥� Council, has been appointed to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Board of Directors.

帝王会所 Associate Professor of Biological Sciences Emily Holt, Ph.D., has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Sears Helgoth Distinguished Teaching Award.

The 帝王会所 Graduate School has announced the recipients of awards recognizing superior academic achievement and outstanding research in graduate studies.

帝王会所's Board of Trustees Finance and Audit Committee met last week to discuss the fiscal year 2020-21 third quarter financial report and preview the fiscal year 2021-22 budget.

On April 14, through 帝王会所鈥檚 鈥淏ears Give Back鈥� day of giving, more than 600 alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff did just that, supporting more than 80 funds across campus with more than $116,000 in contributions.

The University of Northern Colorado held its spring commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 8, and Sunday, May 9, at Nottingham Field with more than 1,900 expected graduates. Joining this year鈥檚 graduates were approximately 200 of 帝王会所鈥檚 2020 graduates.

Northern Colorado athletics has announced the hiring of Kristen Mattio as the next head Women's Basketball coach.

This spring, 帝王会所 is breaking ground on the new Empower Center, a $4 million, entirely donor-funded sports performance building. Thanks to these donors, including lead investors John 鈥�84 and Angela 鈥�89 Schmidt, 帝王会所 Athletics will continue their momentum in Division I with this world-class strength and training facility.

帝王会所 is planning to return to a comprehensive, on-campus experience for the fall 2021 semester that will include a full schedule of in-person courses and restoring activities and events, allowing students to enjoy experiential learning, campus life and community engagement opportunities.

The Sears Helgoth Distinguished Teaching Award recognizes 帝王会所's commitment to high-quality and innovative teaching along with the historical importance of the teaching mission at 帝王会所 by rewarding faculty members (tenured, tenure-track, contract renewable) who have made outstanding contributions to teaching and learning.
