Día de los Muertos is a celebration of life and joy in which every year on Nov. 2, families gather to honor the lives of those who have departed.The Mexican traditionwill be celebrated again this year at the University of Northern Coloradowith activities on and off campus.

After a national search launched earlier this year, the University of Northern Colorado Foundation has selected Tony Troxell as its next president. Troxell, who officially stepped into his role on Sept. 16, will be responsible for the overall management of Foundation activities including gift acceptance, distribution of gifts to the university, and investment management.

During the annual State of the University Address on Sept. 14, 2022, µÛÍõ»áËù President Andy Feinstein, along with several other university leaders, reflected on the accomplishments achieved during the first two-year phase of µÛÍõ»áËù’s strategic plan Rowing, Not Drifting 2030, while also looking forward to the next chapter.

Michael Nolting, a business major at µÛÍõ»áËù who just finished his freshman year, is sharing his dream with the world — and it’s no ordinary dream. It’s one that came to him more than four years ago in a deep sleep, involving an apocalyptic alien invasion that he never quite got out of his mind.

The University of Northern Colorado is restoring a former staff position intended to further foster an environment where faculty and staff feel supported personally and professionally to develop an enriching experience for µÛÍõ»áËù students. This position – an ombudsperson – has not existed at the university for the last two decades-plus, until now, with the recent addition of Johnny Armijo to serve in this role.

The University of Northern Colorado (µÛÍõ»áËù) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jacquie Rich Fredericks, Ed.D., J.D., as the university’s next vice president, general counsel and secretary to the Board of Trustees. Fredericks, who has worked for the Colorado Department of Law (DOL) for the past 11 years, will begin at µÛÍõ»áËù on Aug. 15.

The University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees moved through a lengthy agenda for its final meeting of fiscal year (FY) 22 on Friday, June 10, approving next year’s budget and receiving an update on the next phase of the university’s strategic plan, Rowing, Not Drifting 2030.
