Salary Equity Committee

Reviewing faculty and staff compensation to ensure fair, equitable pay across µÛÍõ»áËù.

The SEC reviews µÛÍõ»áËù’s peer institutions, staffing plans, and salary and benefits data to make annual recommendations on internal and external pay parity for faculty and administrative staff. The Committee also reviews the University’s budget and fringe benefit plans, including health, life, and disability insurance, and makes recommendations to the Senate on compensation and benefits policy.

The Committee is comprised of eleven members: six senators (one from each college and the University Libraries), two members appointed by the President or their designee, the current and immediately past Faculty Trustee, and a representative selected by the Professional Administrative Council. The committee elects a chair and vice chair annually at the last spring meeting.
